GETTING TO KNOW
Your Photographer
ABIGAIL GAGNÉ

Anyone who knows me, knows I have an obsession with my morning coffee, and my (almost) nightly glass of pinot noir. I love waking up in the morning, sitting in my back yard with a cup of coffee ( or 3 ) looking at my view while my kids run around automatically at energy level 100. And just as much, I love having a glass of wine and teaching my daughter to cook after a long day of mommy-hood. I am settling into loving the constant chaos that comes with having small children. I love good food, good friends, and good conversation. I find more joy and more comfort in chatting with friends around a fire than anything else I can think of. I am doing my very best in life to try and relish in the small things and to appreciate people and moments more, as the years fly by.
I believe in the law of attraction, I think it is so very very real. I believe in relationships, and I think you will only get back from people a fraction of what you are willing to give. So always be willing to give more, do more, and care more. And be okay with that.
I think the world would be a much better place if everyone was willing to be more of something without an expectation of return. Life is a beautiful gift, and the longer I have kids, the shorter I realize life is. Enjoy it, embrace it, and be appreciative of it.
Candid, Romantic, & Fun
My photography style is candid, romantic, and fun. I'm more interested in creating a beautiful scene for you to live out the moments of your day authentically, rather than intervening and making you say "cheese". I will guide you through the photo taking process with ease, and don't worry, I won't let that piece of hair stick straight out the top of your head! I believe that my job is part photographer, part director. I absolutely love the look of a candid photo, but not all candid moments are photo beautiful... so sometimes to create a beautiful image that has the "candid" look, I will move you into a pose or give you a direction or movement. blah looking photos come from stiff people holding a pose or a smile that isn't authentic. I want you to look like you and have true emotions on your face- but not everyone feels comfortable in front of a camera or instantly feels awkward. This is true for me as well. I will work with you to make sure your experience in front of my lens is a good one from start to finish.
